Muzej seljačkih buna

The museum was founded and opened to the public on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the great Peasants' Revolt in 1573, led by local legend Matija Gubec.

The museum is located in the Baroque castle of Orsic from the 18th century, built by Krsto Orsic, a member of the old Croatian noble family, and his rich wife Josipa, born Zichyi. The castle was built in 1756, which is engraved on the entrance portal, where is the family's coat of arms.
